” Lust awakens the desire to possess and that awakens the intent to murder”

The statement is from a South Korean movie ‘Spring Summer Fall Winter And Spring’. I saw a mention of this movie in one article I was reading. Didn’t find it any where on popular movie platforms. Downloaded through torrent and completed right now. It was an experience watching this movie. It is directed by Kim Ki Duk. The movie just revolve around three main characters. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone so I will not mention the things which will affect your watching experience but a few points which are at the core of this fabulous work of art are..

- The relation of a master and a disciple

- The difference between love and lust

- The art of no desire

- Conquering one’s self is better than conquering the world.

- Life is a circle. It always comes back what you give.

- You have to drag the stone of your own karma.

- You can always create something better out of your anger and envy.

- To love is one’s nature, lust is it’s extreme. Middle path is what leads to mindfulness.

The whole movie is kind of message of Buddhist living. Rarely a few words are spoken through the whole movie. The realness of every character is mind blowing. How the director has carved carefully, how he told the tales of each character is amazing to watch. Kim Ki Duk himself played a role of adult monk and we can easily see his acting instincts too. He carefully crafted every scene with a message to deliver. I am sure that every time you will see the movie you will end up with a few new learnings, some new meanings and realisations for your life. I am just fascinated by how he told the story. You will too. Take and chance and

watch it.
